:What the hell is Autograss racing?

:Well, just imagine 13 different classes of race cars, from

:near standard little 1000cc saloons to full on space frame

:monsters. Big V8's, lightweight bike engines,

:twin bike engines, super chargers, turbo charges, all

:lining up on dirt ovals and every person there has a point to

:prove. Each race will consist of eight cars launching off a straight line start
9
:and they will tear through racers between four and 10 laps.

:At the big meetings, you can witness in excess of 200

:racers in the one weekend. In truth, it's absolute
12
:madness of the very best variety. But there is more to it than just the

:racing. Autograss is a family affair, literally.

:Weekends away with your family, your best mates, camping together, eating
15
:together, competing against each other.

:And in some cases, the whole family can share one car.

:From your seasoned veterans to ten-year-old juniors who are just starting out and

:learning the ropes. It is, without a doubt, one of

:the friendliest and most exciting ways you can throw mud in someone's

:face while spending time in what is possibly the greatest community in

:UK motorsport. So what do you need?

:You need a NASA license. You need a race car that meets the rules.

:After that, you can go to one of 30 venues nationwide and you

:can pretty much just turn up on a Sunday, sign on and race.
